
We’re pleased to introduce Samanta Chu, a member of the Accreditation Council for the Adventure Safety Accreditation.
Samanta Chu, Director of Wilderness Medical Associates International – Brasil, brings decades of experience in outdoor, experiential and adventure programs. She teaches wilderness medicine internationally, has served as Technical Director with the São Paulo State Mountaineering Federation and works in Antarctica as a safety mountaineer supporting Brazilian Antarctic researchers.
Samanta has also led sea kayaking and wilderness expeditions in the USA and Canada, has managed guiding teams, and seeks personal adventures as a climber, mountaineer and paragliding pilot.
She holds an Adventure Tourism diploma from Thompson Rivers University in Canada and completed post-graduate work in the Psychology of Development and Learning at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil.
Through her work with the Adventure Safety Accreditation Council, Samanta helps outdoor and adventure organizations pursue accreditation and reinforces their commitment to high standards in adventure safety.
