Risk Management Courses to Enhance Outdoor Adventure Safety for Trekking, Climbing, Ski Touring and Outdoor Adventure Experiences Worldwide
Viristar is pleased to collaborate with Rucksack Mountain School of Brașov, Romania, to bring Risk Management for Outdoor Programs training courses to the mountain leader and outdoor community in Romania and around the world.
Rucksack Mountain School is offering the comprehensive, four-week online trainings at a 10 percent discount off the regular rate, increasing the accessibility of training opportunities for outdoor professionals in the Rucksack community.

The trainings, facilitated by Viristar instructors, will help organizations identify and implement good safety practices.
The rigorous 40-hour training is offered online most months of the year. The course combines online self-study with seminar-style group discussions. Topics include the science of incident prevention, safety culture, adventure standards, emergency planning, media relations, legal considerations, documentation, training and supervising staff, systems thinking, and more.

Rucksack Mountain School is dedicated to the training of professional and recreational mountain leaders. The School teaches classes and certification/qualification courses in Alpinism Instructor, Climbing Instructor, rock climbing, Nordic walking, ski touring, mountain navigation and more. The school is part of Rucksack Mountain Guides, active in locations including Romania, Peru, Portugal, Greece, and Norway.
The first training courses were organized in 1998 by the School’s Managing Director Marian Anghel, also the founder of the Mountain Guides and Leaders Society (Societatea Ghizilor si Liderilor Montani, SGLM), the only internationally recognized professional association of guides and mountain leaders in Romania.
