Risk Management Courses to Enhance Outdoor Adventure Safety for Icelandic Travel and Tourism Companies

Viristar has partnered with Samtök ferðaþjónustunnar (SAF), the Icelandic Travel Industry Association, to expand access to safety education for Iceland’s travel and tourism professionals.
Through this collaboration, members of SAF can now enroll in Viristar’s internationally recognized Risk Management for Outdoor Programs course at a 20 percent discount, helping strengthen safety practices.
The Risk Management for Outdoor Programs certification training is a 40-hour online course that occurs over four weeks. The rigorous and intensive course includes both self-paced study and seminar-style group discussions.
Topics covered include incident prevention, safety culture, adventure standards, emergency planning, media relations, legal considerations, documentation, staff training, systems thinking, and more.
