
Viristar will be providing its Foundations of Adventure Safety course May 1-2, 2026 at Utahloy International School Guangzhou in Guangzhou, China.
The two-day, 16-hour training is being delivered in cooperation with China New Horizons and Utahloy International School Guangzhou. It is designed for professionals working in outdoor, adventure, travel and experiential programs.
The course content includes good safety practices, standards and theories to help programs achieve excellence in risk management. Participants develop skills and knowledge essential to building and maintaining an effective safety management system for their program.
Instruction will combine case studies, role-playing scenarios and seminar-style discussions to encourage analysis, collaboration and application to real-world situations.
Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate valid for three years.

China New Horizons (CNH) is an experiential learning provider that aims to build global awareness and international-mindedness among students and educators. CNH has operated in Hong Kong and mainland China under the Utahloy Education Foundation since 2013. Its programs are facilitated by educators experienced in adventure programming, service learning, language studies and cross-cultural facilitation.
