Viristar’s long history with Hong Kong
Viristar staff have been providing outdoor and adventure safety trainings in Hong Kong since 2008.
Viristar has been conducting its Risk Management for Outdoor Programs training in Hong Kong since 2019, following delivery of courses in Taiwan and mainland China, and as it expanded in-person training delivery into Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of Viristar’s 2020 training in Hong Kong, and the conversion of the training into an online format.
This marks Viristar’s first return to Hong Kong since the pandemic.
Viristar began discussions in January 2020 with ISF and its Bauhinia Experiential Learning Limited (BELL) division regarding planning for the conference, which was originally scheduled for 2021. After repeated pandemic-related postponements, the long-planned conference is now set to launch.
Viristar and AEE
Viristar likewise has a long history with AEE. Viristar staff have served in a variety of roles at AEE, including on the Board of Directors, and in regional treasurer and accreditation reviewer roles, over the last 20 years.
Viristar staff have presented at AEE international and regional conferences for more than two decades, most recently at the previous Asia-Pacific Regional Conference in Singapore in 2023.
Viristar is pleased to support AEE’s vision of using the power of learning through experience to positively transform people and our world.
