The Foundations of Adventure Safety training helps managers of outdoor, travel, and experiential learning programs develop the knowledge and skills necessary to establish a high-quality and effective safety management system for their organization.

The class covers general principles of risk management, adventure safety standards and laws, safety culture, Safety by Design concepts, emergency planning, and more. Viristar first provided its two-day in-person course in China in 2018, and has delivered the training in a number of countries since then.

The two-day, classroom-based Foundations of Adventure Safety course offered by Viristar is a complement to Viristar’s 40-hour online training, Risk Management for Outdoor Programs, which offers a similar curriculum but in an expanded, online format.
