Viristar is pleased to announce that Kaelan Young has been promoted to Communications Director. 

This promotion follows her service as Communications Manager for more than two years, during which she led Viristar’s communications strategy, messaging development and global outreach across the organization’s training, consulting and adventure safety accreditation services. In this role, she helped strengthen brand positioning, improve communication processes, and expand engagement with partners worldwide.

In her new role as Communications Director, Kaelan will oversee Viristar’s communications, marketing, and brand management functions. She will continue to help strengthen Viristar’s visibility and brand reputation, supporting enhanced program effectiveness and business growth, while ensuring communications meet a high standard of professionalism, quality, and impact. 

Prior to joining Viristar, Kaelan served as Director of Operations for an outdoor learning association where she oversaw program development and organizational strategy to ensure high-quality learning experiences for participants of all ages. She also served as Marketing Manager for the largest forest school in the USA, leading strategic communications, brand development, and community engagement initiatives. Earlier in her career, she worked as an elementary educator, an experience that continues to inform her ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and accessible way.
